Day 1 – Discover the Capo di Muro

Drive to Porto Pollo on the northern tip of the Valinco Golf. After settling into your hotel, we offer a couple of walks you can do not too far afield. The first is the magnificent Capo di Muro walk, it crams it all in including a Genoese watchtower, a chapel and a lighthouse, all amidst a warm Mediterranean vegetation. The views from the tower are sublime, and the walk is a great introduction to this chaotic coastal landscape. Stay at a 3*Hotel , in Porto Pollo on a B&B basis.

Day 2 – Kayaking to Cupabia

This morning sees the family heading out on “sit on top” Kayaks from the beach at Porto Pollo. After a short briefing, you set out to spend the morning discovering the creeks and needles around the headland towards the beach at Cupabia.  The beach crew with give you a few pointers and advise you of the sea conditions before you set off, paddling on duo or solo “sit on top” sea kayaks, easy to manage and really stable.  Cupabia is a gem of a beach, silver sand and crystal blue water, one of the best beaches on the island. After lunch, time to paddle back to Porto Pollo and your hotel again for tonight.

Day 3 – Canyoning at Barracci

After an easy morning, perhaps on the beach or visiting the nature reserve Étang de Tanchiccia to see the wild birds that flock to the area or heading to one of the megalithic sites in the Valinco, the afternoon is spent canyoning. Difficult to imagine such a haven of “freshness” so close to the coast, this initiation canyon offers all the thrills you could ask for. In this red granite gorge, with rounded rocks polished by the torrent, obstacles follow one another, slides, jumps, zip lines, abseiling ... 2h00 of descent that will please all the family.

Day 4 – Biking in the Valinco

Pick up your bikes from Tex’s bike shop for a day exploring the area in the saddle. Tex and his team will give you some ideas of routes to follow suitable for your group - the team know the golf and will give their hints and tips – either on road or off road, visiting beaches, villages, Genoese bridges and watchtowers along the way. The Valinco is a lush area, steeped in history, and great for peddaling around.

Day 5 – A night in Senetosa Lighthouse

This walk is an adventure as you are heading to the most remote lighthouse on the island of Corsica. The stretch of coast from Tizzano to Campomoro is unspoilt and only accessible on foot or by boat. In the morning visit the town of Sartene, the most Corsican of Corsican towns then drive to the village of Tizzano to arrive at the trailhead along a dust track. You will need to carry in provisions for meals, this is an area of truly outstanding beauty. The walk in is through the maquis past deserted coves to the Capu di Senetosa. The lighthouse is in a truly wonderful spot, great as the sun dips below the horizon and the light sweeps around, a unique setting, night in a simple twin room at Senetosa lighthouse on B&B basis.

Day 6 –Senetosa Tower to Tizzano

Climb to the Genoese tower high above Senetosa lighthouse, with views over the southern Corsican mountains. After your visit back down towards Senetosa. (A longer walk can take you on along the ridge to Cala di Conca). Rocks are shaped by the wind and the sea into some fantastic forms Taffoni, At Cala Tivella, the sea is very tempting for a quick dip or a snorkel to swim with the fish. Arrive back at Tizzano then after the adventure, drive at the end of the day, past the Lion de Roccapina to Bonifacio, where you stay in a superb 3* hotel on B&B.

7/14km, 2h00/4h00, +85/255m, -85/280m

Day 7 – Discover Bonifacio

Drive to Hermitage de la Trinité church, to the north of Bonifacio, from where you walk to the Capo di Feno, along a coastal path to Paraguan beach, you’ll see wild goats and maybe a tortoise ! Leave the car behind and head towards Paraguan from town, and then head to the hidden cove in the cliffs near the Iles Fazzio, the path then takes you towards la Madonette lighthouse, opening to views over the old town and harbour. For a shorter walk, try the walk on the Campu Rumanilu or take the boat to Ile Lavezzi,  wonderful coastal walks and a great finale to your walking holiday. Stay in Bonifacio in a 3* hotel, on B&B.
