  • Stay at Ciottulu the highest refuge in Corsica
  • Hike alpine sections of the GR20 north
  • Great for really fit and adventurous kids
  • Ideal for those used to high mountain walking

The reputation of the GR20 is well earnt, but it is possible to do parts of it with really adventurous kids. It is challenging, but a really exciting and beautiful trail. It offers great trekking and an insight into rural Corsican mountain life, great for children and adults alike. This version of the trek is accessible to families who are really fit, used to mountain walking and are out in the hills regularly. This part of the GR20 takes in the highest refuge and a bucolic shepherds hut by a stream. The northern part of the GR20 is particularly alpine, with high passes and glacier lakes. An exceptional trek, reputed as the most challenging in Europe this was featured in the Guardian “The hardest walking route in Corsica? I’ll take the family!”
