The Grande Traversée (GT20) crosses Corsica from north to south. Departing from Bastia and Cap Corse, the route reaches Bonifacio in 12 stages, alternating between coastline and mountains, over a distance of around 600 kilometres and a total height difference of 9,500 metres.

The GT20 route

The "Traversata Maio", from Cap Corse to Bonifacio, is a route that takes inland roads and passes through its villages. The main route passes through Bastia, Centuri, Saint-Florent, Belgodère, Calenzana, Galeria, Porto, the Col de Vergio, Corte, Ghisoni, Zicavo, Zonza and Bonifacio. This route can be enjoyed as a sportive or a more moderate activity, and can be done with an electrically-assisted bicycle. A number of local sections and loops offer plenty of options to tempt cycle-touring enthusiasts.
