After a spectacular journey along the coast and through the valleys of southern Corsica, you will reach the typical village of Zonza, overlooking the striking site of Aiguilles de Bavella Mountains. From this point, you will wind your way down maquis covered slopes, walk through pine scented forests, while catching a glimpse of ancient villages, to head toward the coast and the turquoise waters of the Mediterranean.

Day 1
Arrive in Ajaccio and check into your hotel. Time to explore the town, the ambiance is Mediterranean and vibrant.

Day 2
There is the option of a ridge walk that leads up behind the town and offers wonderful views of the coastline and the gulf.

Bus ride from Ajaccio to Zonza by mid afternoon. Journey along the western coast and Valinco Gulf. Arrival by late afternoon in the picturesque village of Zonza, overlooking the Bavella Moutains. Check into your hotel.

Day 3

A spectacular walk through tall needles of rose granite that tower above you. You will pass by different pinnacles, such as, the Acellu, Ariettu, Vacca and the Pargulu.
12km, 7h00, +900m, -900m.

Day 4
Walking along the Mare a Mare South Trail, through one of the most amazing Lariccio pine trees forest of the Mediterranean, you will reach your charming Farm Auberge set near the village of Levie.16.5 km, 5h00..

Day 5
Take the circular walk following the Mare a Mare Sud trail down the St Antoine stream and on to the recently listed UNESCO bronze-age settlements of Cucuruzzu and Capula10 km, 3h00.

Day 6
On the road to Propriano you have the opportunity to visit the St-Jean-Baptiste church, meditate by the grave of Colomba or stop at the Baracci natural spas for a swim. A taxi transfer to Propriano is scheduled at 3pm to avoid asphalt walking.
10km, 5h00, +700m, -750m.

Day 7
Relax and enjoy this day by spending it at the beach or choose to do a little food and souvenir shopping around the village before heading back to Ajaccio in the afternoon.

End of holiday in Ajaccio.

The walks are on good footpaths and trails, the terrain is varied but often rocky. You need to be used to walking all day and take regular exercise to enjoy this holiday. Moderate with strenuous sections.

You need to carry a small day sack only with a water bottle, camera, picnic and windproof jacket. The main luggage will be transported by vehicle between the different accommodations. It is also important to consider that it may be necessary to carry your bags short distances at the start or end of your holiday.
