An exceptional holiday where you will discover the south of Corsica, its wild and preserved landscapes and countless treasures! Set in the heart of the Alta Rocca, half way between mountain tops and Mediterranean sea shores, the village of Sainte Lucie de Tallano is the ideal spot to allow you to explore the diversity of the area of unspoiled nature. All week long, you will have the opportunity to alternate strolls along the shores with hikes in altitude. Your small group will also enjoy a convenient autonomy, thanks to the private minibus at its disposition and will scout local landmarks such as the Bavella Mountains, the beach of Campomoro as well as Bonifacio.


Programme

Day 1
Meet group and your guide in Ajaccio, transfer southwards across the Alta Rocca Land to the village of Sainte Lucie de Tallano (about 2 hours). Overnight in a gite after a briefing and visit of village.

Day 2
In Levie, you will explore both prehistorical sites of Cucuruzzu and Capula. Optional visit of the village Archeological and Ethnographical Museum.
15km, 4h30, +600m, -600m

Day 3
Circular walk to the Plateau of Cuscionu, dotted with shepherds cabins that were once the homes of many shepherds’ families.
14km, 5h00, +600m, -600m

Day 4
Ascent towards Col de Bavella, then head to le Trou de la Bombe followed by Col du Vélaco. Panoramic view over Italy’s and Corsica's eastern coasts.
8km, 4h00, +300m, -300m

Day 5
Hike by the sea, along the coastline, near the Genoese tower of Campomoro, surrounded by secluded beaches and quiet creeks. Swimming and sun bathing possible. Visit to Propriano.
14km, 4h00, +450m, -450m

Day 6
Bonifacio, fortified city facing Sardinia. Stroll along the thousand year old ramparts set on top of the cliffs. Boat excursion.
6km, 2h00, +100m, -100m

Return to Ajaccio by late afternoon.

Level of difficulty
The walks are on good footpaths and trails, the terrain is varied but often rocky. You need to be used to walking all day and take regular exercise to enjoy this holiday. Moderate with strenuous sections.
Guide
Experienced Tour Leader. You will be in a mixed group of French and English speaking persons.
Carrying
You need to carry a small day sack only with a water bottle, camera, picnic and windproof jacket. The main luggage will be transported by vehicle between the different accommodations. It is also important to consider that it may be necessary to carry your bags short distances at the start or end of your holiday. You will need the appropriate luggage (please contact us with any questions).
Price includes
Fullboard accommodation, local transfers, luggage transfers, your guide, the boat excursion in Bonifacio.
